There will come a point in the case when an investigator may wish to analyze the file data block-by-block; the ‘Analyze’ function enables that to be done. Once analysis has been performed and evidence located, the investigator can then export and/or hash the requisite section of the drive to file for safekeeping and later use or further analysis.
